2008 until present: Chairman of the Scientific Board of the German Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

2012 until present: Chairman of the DÖSAK (German Austrian Swiss Study Group for Head and Neck Tumors)

Fields of activity: Microsurgery, treatment of malformations, traumatology, plastic and reconstructive surgery, preprosthetic surgery incl. dental implantology.
